How would it benefit me? I guess I never really thought it through...

My ex-girlfriend's friend introduced us to a friend of his that had a Scottish accent.

The guy spoke with the accent for at least two years - I wasn't around him much, but that's about how long I had known him for - until one day he finally dropped it and revealed to everyone that he didn't even have a Scottish accent.

I was amazed with his effort.

Apparently, his best friends didn't even know for a long while, but he finally told them and they thought it would be great to keep it going.

Forget the kid. What about the abuse the kid endured by having his mom force him to fake being ******** since 8?! The kid didn't know right from wrong back then and the mom should be charged for being a loser.

Who knows, maybe the court goes after her for corrupting a youths mind 20 years ago. The kid picked this up from learned behavior.

That's exactly what I thought when I first heard of this case.

It amazes me what people will do to get money, besides working that is. They should make this guy do some community service with mentally challenged kids as part of his sentence.

Considering he was busted contesting a traffic ticket, maybe this is a situation like Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer where he's ******** in all normal situations but becomes a seasoned and capable legal mind when he enters a courtroom.

But somehow, I doubt it. I wonder if the $111,000 was worth pretending to be ******** for 20 years. I also wonder how you can legally prove that someone "illegally exaggerated their ******ation" with the intent to scam the government out of disability benefits. And how does a parent get an 8-year-old kid to go along with a plan to fake being ******** all the time? This will be an interesting one to watch....

I may be a simple man. I may run in terror when a fax machine begins to whir. I may recoil in fear when tiny men yell at me through this thing that i'm told is called a "phone". Because you see i'm just a simple caveman and I don't know I really understand this crazy modern world. But I do know one thing. One thing's for sure. And that's that my client deserves 2.1 million dollars in compensatory damages for pain and suffering due to the defendant's negligience.

Oh and speaking of accents, although I knew Hugh Larie, the doctor on House, was British, since I watch House each week I just thought he didn't have much of an accent really. Then he hosted SNL and talked all real British and I was taken aback. Amazing how those actors can hide that.
