    PS3 on a computer monitor?

    Tried to hook it up with hdmi to dvi adapter,and it says not optimized? screen would not even appear..any Ideas?...360 has vga ,and looks sweet on the monitor,just trying to do same with PS3.....
    VIOLATION!!!!!!!!
