    Green Street Hooligans

It's a cult flick, really, but in my opinion it's awesome.

Very entertaining, very energetic, and just a overall good movie.

I saw it and loved it. I'm not even a big soccer fan and thought it was good. A lot of fun to watch. I really didn't know what was going to happen next. Really exciting movie and it definately keeps you interested. The actors are great. It's definitely worth a rent.

Very good movie. I'm a footie fan, but I could see where non-footie fans would like it. Not the typical role for Elijah Wood, that's for sure!

I just wonder how much of the movie is realistic, and how much reality was stretched for Hollywood.

While I don't think there are organized fights like those, though I don't doubt they do happen sometimes, I know for a fact that if you're a fan on the wrong team, on the wrong day, you're going to get your *** beat.

My English professor went to see a game two years ago, I think it was Man U/Arsenal...and he was wearing a Man U. jersey. He gave the man his ticket and the man looked at it, looked at him, and then stopped him. Told him: "You're sitting in the Aresenal section. I suggest you put your jacket back on for your own safety."

My teacher sat surrounded by Arsenal fans, in the 90 degree weather, wearing his jacket.

Yep, I've heard stories about that. I know some of the pubs right around the ground don't allow anyone in team apparel inside in the hours leading up to and right after matches. Too much of a chance of fights starting.

That's easily the smartest thing they could do. Without a doubt, if they let drunk fans of opposing teams stand in such close vicinity, they would certainly start a fight.

I'd absolutely LOVE to go to a futbol ("Stop saying ****ing soccer") match over in Europe. Would just seem so surreal to be in a stadium watching one of those games. The atmosphere seems amazing - better than anything in the States.

the movie was alright, but I think they could've found somebody better than Elijah Wood to play that main role. his size was a negative factor for me. I actually laughed out loud during some of the fights.

Same here. I saw it in the theater since I'm a Hammers fan and it wasn't bad at all.

See...that's the thing. Elijah wasn't supposed to look like a fighter. He was supposed to be a small, scrawny Harvard journalist. Not some big, tough guy that you would actually think could defend himself.

I was over in England last week, went to two Spurs matches, and the pubs around White Hart Lane would not let in any away supporters at all. I guess if they wanted a drink, they were SOL.

Great movie btw, and if you liked this one, rent Football Factory. Same type of story, but much better imo.

I just got around to seeing this movie, and I LOVED it.

Elijah Wood was great in this movie, I thought. Sure, he wasn't the prototypical badass, but that's what I liked about it.

I think I stopped breathing for like a minute when Pete died.

                        Great flick, IMO.

One of my favorite movies, I've seen it with my son about 3 times I think.

The fact that it's with his son makes it better, though.
