Will it really matter whether they did or not? I mean, the age limit hasn't exactly prevented underage drinking in the US.

Yeah, but as someone who went to college in Washington and was just a couple hours from Canada, I have quite a bit of experience. When I was a freshman and sophomore in college, and was just 19 or 20, the big thing was to go up to Canada once or twice a year to go to the bars and clubs since we couldn't in the US. I'd go up to Whistler each year and have the most fun I ever had in college.

I remember every year that I went up to Canada that there was always talk that the government was going to up the drinking age to 20 or 21, but every year it still was 19.

And another thing, do you still need 2 forms of ID to get into bars? Or was that just a thing I had to go through in Whistler? I found that weird, but I guess it makes some sense in trying to get rid of people using fake IDs.

Hmm i'm not aware of this law at all but it sounds like something the tight arse McGuinty Ontario Liberals would do. Either way I have a feeling this is just rumour and hearsay.

gotta assume bc? I think most of the provinces are smarter than that, especially those at 18.

varies province by province, sometimes bar to bar (or person to person). have never needed 2 forms in manitoba, have been asked in alberta, as well as bc.

As for the original topic, definitely not here. haven't heard anything about it, so probably bogus.

I dont know where you heard that but unless you can give a link I'm going to say that's completely untrue. I'm an American and I go to school in Halifax and have been using my Mass. I.D. and have never had a problem and I'm still 20. I'm also pretty sure I would have heard something about this if it were true unless it passed today.

not that im aware of. I work at a restaurant as well so if the law did change im sure i would be informed.
