    Wireless router question

Hey guys. i just took advantage of some smaller after XMAS sales and picked up a wireless LINKSYS router along with two pci wireless desktop adapters for my towers.

    question.

it asks to run the CD-ROM provided first before doing anything else/ which computer do I run it on? it doesnt say.

my house is full of computers.

-two laptops with built in wireless
-three towers with no wireless signals yet
-I bought two wireless PCI adapters for two of the towers.

I plan to have atleast one computer wired since it'll be right near the modem anyways. Should that one be the one where the CDROM is run from?

    instructions werent very clear.

-what about securing my wireless network. what does that entail? this is all pretty much new to me. my wired router didnt need a install CD so im just abit confused right now.

lastly, i was a cheap *** and bought a linksys router but two belkin PCI wireless adapters. that should be alright, right? I didnt plan to spend 70 for each PCI LINKSYS wireless adapters. i dont think brands have to match brands. but just making sure

    Re: Wireless router question

yeah, run the cd on the computer that will be hard wired. Securing the network is really easy. But, Get the router installed and make sure the internet is working first.
