Saw this last Friday.. it was a good film expirience. I wouldn't say it was one of the "best movies" ever.. but it was a good expirience. Lots of drama, fun to look at, and was just interesting since it takes place in the very near future.

This is one powerful movie, albeit fictional. The movie compares to another british movie which is about zombies...what was it called the 25th hour(not the one with edward norton)...jokingly. They have their similarities. The movie gets 5 out of 5...although I still have a ?...Why did she escape with the guy in the first place?...bittersweet ending..I understood it, but it could have been better...you might say 'clever'..I think the ending could have been 100X better. I got the concept though.

LOL, I see little resemblance, but you're thinking of 28 Days Later.

Children of Men is a pretty good movie. The plot is well-written yet streamlined and not convoluted. The action, especially one of the final scenes, feels very realistic and intense, which is rare for any action set piece.

                I dig it.

That's it, I'm glad you see some of the resemblance I was hinting at. This looks like the sequel??...

Really? is Clint Eastwood sick or something? Does he not have enough time to make another movie?

Ah nevermind, just did a quick google search, he isn't dying. You almost had me going. You must be saying that because of how old he looks, but he looks to be in pretty good shape to me.

LOL no he's not dying but he's in his mid 70's so he can't have too many Oscar worthy films left in him. He did get a little plastic surgery (are there no tough guys left anymore?) recently so he does look a little better, hopefully he doesn't go overboard and go for the asian look like Burt Reynolds, the wax figure look like Wayne Newton or the Extraterrestrial look like Meg Ryan.

Finally was able to see it, what a great picture that totally flew under the radar, at least amongst my brain dead social crowd.

I loved the acting, story, and the action which was incredible.
