Same here man, I'll work for my money. And enjoy growing old with my wife, and watching my kids grow up as well. Some day I'd like to have some little grandkids to spoil.Comment

Re: $208M Lottery Winner Dies At Age 43
Why is financially struggling for the rest of your life a good thing compared to living well off for 20 months and then kicking the bucket?
Really, I believe it's quality of life that's more important than quantity, and it really depends on what goals you set for your life, what your ambitions are, and what makes you happy that will affect what you prefer.
If I were to live a long life, of constant hardship, financially struggling for the rest of my life, without much happiness as opposed to being happy for 20 months before I die, I would think the latter is a far more preferable scenario.
As for mind-body interactions, yes, the mind does affect the body in powerful ways, and it can cause diseases, and cure them, but not absolutely. Some diseases are psychosomatic and thus if you cure what troubles you emotionally, you have a chance of getting better, but it's not necessarily going to happen that way. And the lottery would certainly not be considered the end of all misery for most people to begin with. Again, it depends really on what makes a person happy. Winning the lottery may make a person happy for a short period of time, but it's not going to heal their deep-rooted emotional issues unless those emotional issues have something to do with money.Comment

Re: $208M Lottery Winner Dies At Age 43
I can understand guys who have a wife and kids, would rather take living longer.
For me, I'd rather take that money and live life to the fullest for those 20 months. Travel the world, spending time with my family taking them places, and having fun.
Of course, by the last day of those 20 months, I'm sure I'd be wishing to take it all back.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Well, I'm 19 years old and not too flamboyant or extravagant in any way....so I would rather live a full life and not be as financially secure.
The issue with it is, there's never any guarantee you're going to live a full life anyway...Comment

I love and are loved by too many people to just have 20 months rich. I'd rather struggle and provide for a family, because that's something you can hang your hat on...by providing food on the table for your wife and kids.President of the Devils Den
