    DVR help

    I got bored today and started look around on my DVR, it's a PACE TDC775 Tahoe.

    and on the back it has all the usual stuff to connect to the TV(hdmi, component ext.), but it also has an ethernet port and a USB. It also has some other stuff which I know I can't use now like firewire.

    Will the USB give me the ability to transfer stuff from the HDD to my computer. I know Tivo advertises this function.

    What about the ethernet, would it be possible to hook up a USB keyboard and surf the net?

    The guy didn't leave a book when he hooked it up, so I don't know of any additional functions it has;

    I don't have that box, but the Motorola I have has those USBs and stuff on the back, but the only one I could ever get to work was the firewire. I'm actually able to pull the video off the DVR with the firewire cable, but not through the USB.

        Same here. I have the dual tuner HD motorola 6412. Not bad for a cable box DVR, but not as functionally rich as Tivo.
