    Hiding cords

I have a DVD and DVR player hooked up to my 46"er. With all of the monster, power, and satellite cables, I have a jumbled mess which looks ugly. I can't seem to figure out a more aesthetic way of either hiding the cables or arranging them neater. Is there anyone out there that has this figured out? It would be interesting and informing to hear how others "take care" of their cable mess.

I hate to say, "When I was a kid" but when I was a kid, there was the tv power cord and the strip cable thingy that went out to the antenna. Now I am only 38, so it wasn't that long ago. Oh how things have changed.

You can buy some stuff from BestBuy & CircuitCity that you put the cables through and then it hides them, but I tried that and its not that great. Cable ties are easy and cheap. You could try some PVC Insulation, just put it around all the cables, quick and easy, plus you can take it off if you need to.

are they visible or is it something that just bothers you?? I have used those velcro cable wraps before (bought them at Radio Shack) and they worked pretty good. Luckily, you can't see behind my TV stand so I don't care what it looks like back there.

I have some velcro straps, and they get the job done. You can fit probably all your cables in one. But a box at best buy is like 12 bucks for two of them.

You could use some plastic tie wraps which would keep the cables tight and close together. If your cables are near a wall also, you could get some plastic Raceway strips and hide the cables in there.
