I love both Offices but IMO the funniest character of either version is Gervais's David Brent. I saw a couple of Extras when I was staying with my brother after the hurricane, and REALLY had a hard time understanding anything.

I started liking it more after the 4th episode. I bought the set, so I may as well decide to like it, since I'm stuck with it.Comment

Let me know via a PM what you want for it via trade or money wise. Gervais is comedic brilliance IMO and Extras is as good as The Office as far as I'm concerned.Comment

Re: The Office-British Version= Major Letdown
I just now finished the series. It was brilliant. Not as funny to me as the U.S. version, yet it was deeper while at the same time being much more crude in its comedy. Those who said give it a chance, you were right. It definitely picks up after the 4th or 5th episode. Great series, glad I bought it. Just don't go into it with thoughts of the U.S. version in your mind, and I'll think you'll enjoy it more.Comment

Umm...Kind of off-topic, but...
While watching the first episode of 24 of this new season, the co-creator of the British version of "The Office" is shown. Chloe and that new Nadia person are talking at CTU and Nadia hands him a file. It's about seven minutes in. I remember seeing him in the Special Features of "The Office" DVDs and also a couple episodes.
I hope it was just a cameo and he's not that desperate for work.Comment

I also think that people will be skewed based on what they see first and get used to. I was used to the US characters and especially love US Dwight. Just seeing the brit version didn't seem right - he looks too normal.Comment

Anybody have a online link to the UK Office episodes?
I remember seeing a link on this site that was recently posted but I can't find the thread.Comment

Re: The Office-British Version= Major Letdown
IMO the American version of the office is terrible. The British version IMO is brilliant. I'm starting to think, for the most part, that if you see one version it ruins the other. But I really tried to give the American version a chance but it's just not funny to me. And I hated the British accents to start, and I hate most British humor, and I even hate the theme song...but once it clicked with me it was alot of fun.Comment
