love n' Eddie for staying with his roots. his idol growing up was Richard Pryor. Eddie is alot like Jim Carey, very versital but he chooses to make comedies. nothing wrong with that. for as long as the movie(s) does well, i'm sure the movie studio won't complain...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

I think the way, way over the top fat woman role is going to ruin the film. They should have watched Coming to America a few more times. Slightly exaggerated characters that remind you of people you know=comedic gold and timeless classic. 101 gross out fat jokes=mediocre flick written for 10 year olds.

The Nutty Professor was full of over the top characters and that movie was hilarious.

If it would have came out when I was 10, I would have agreed, but I personally didn't think it was that great specifically because of those characters.

Of Eddie's post C to A films, I actually only really like Life, and even that one could have been better with a more polished script.

I feel like Eddie's comedic genius is been wasted in films with such bad writing.

Eddie used to be so funny, now his movies are just corny.

At least he's good as Donkey on Shrek.

This movie with Chris Rock could end up being funny though.

I had no idea QT was going to do Beverly Hills 4.

Is it just me, or does that fact that he plays most of the main roles in his movies make it seem like he doesn't trust anyone to play them?

I don't think it's that. I think it's more about being versatile. I mean if Peter Sellers could do that for a good chunk of his career with people more or less loving his humour then other people are entitled to do the same.

                            Re: Eddie Murphy - Norbit

I must say the reviews got me a little scared to go see this one, but I'll always take a chance on Eddie.

I'm glad I did, because this movie was some funny ish. It had alot more laughs than I expected and the scenes with the chinese guy had the whole theater crackin up(ala table scene in Nutty Proffessor).

This movie isn't for everyone especially if you hate racial stereotypes tho. It really doesn't have much of a plot either but this is a crude comedy classic IMO, just like Half-Baked and Office Space.

                              I loved Bowfinger.

I think that was the last Eddie Murphy movie that was actually funny.

Based on the trailer and the talent in the movie, I thought the movie would be hilarious. Instead, I thought it was pretty bad (and not bad meaning good). There were some funny parts, but ended up being a big disappointment. The last 15-30min of the movie was nonsensical trash
