Kavanaugh was a great character, and this show continues to show why it's one of the best written shows on tv. Kavanaugh was so determined to get Vic, but in the end, wasn't willing to become his rival.

He was written in a way we were supposed to hate him, yet he's probably the only character in the history of The Shield to finally take responsibility for his actions.

That's what is so great about the show, it gets you to like bad guys and hate good guys. How many shows could have writers that good??

Seriously, the conversation between Kavanaugh and Vic at the end was amazing. Just the sheer emotion behind Kavanaugh's words, and the emotion in Vic's short, blunt responses made it amazing.

You gotta admit though, Kavanaugh made Vic feel stupid with his comments. He seems really happy to have Vic out of his life while Vic is going off the deep end tryna find Lem's killer. I have a feeling he'll be back some time in the future.

I'm just frantic to find out if Shane will ever admit to killing Lem.

On another note, Ronnie has had more lines in the first 2 episodes than he ever had in the previous 5 seasons.

Oh yeah, that is probably the best part...someone finally got to Vic in a battle of words. I'm hard pressed to think of a character who has went word-for-word with Vic and lost.

It looks like Shane may come close next week, though if you don't watch the previews, sorry for spoling anything.

And yeah, I said that to my roomate last night. Ronnie has been talking a lot more this season already.

So far this season has been excellent and do agree that the conversation between Kavanaugh and Vic was something else. I will miss Kavanaugh to a degree as I think they could have had him on for a few more episodes, but he was starting to aggravate me stooping so low to nail Vic. LOL!

I wonder if Shane will ever admit what he did.

I don't think so, despite his guilt. It goes against his selfish nature.

Shane looks so much like he is going to break down at any moment.

"Lem" will be in a TNT series, "Saving Grace" this June. It stars Holly Hunter and one of my favorites Laura San Giacomo (Just Shoot Me).

Holly Hunter still looks good after all these years, she's almost 50 years old.
