    Recording Equipment Question

I want to get this product because it's MAC compatible:

Network Solutions - Original domain name registration and reservation services with variety of internet-related business offerings. Quick, dependable and reliable.

It looks pretty legit, but one of the system requirements is that you need a "Digidesign-qualified computer". What does this mean?

If it helps, I have a MacBook. Is that qualified, or am I thinking about the wrong thing. I need help!

      Re: Recording Equipment Question

It looks good but I cant stand Protools. (Only because I dont know how to operate it) Dont quote me on this but the digidesign part might mean that you need a soundcard capable of handling all of what that program does. If your soundcard is'nt up to snuff you may run into problems like memory issues which may make whatever you're tryna produce a chore cause the digitalized audio files and whatever application you are running will eat up your CPU resources. A good soundcard will come equiped with extra memory for these large projects.

EDIT: Personally, I dont think a Macbook could handle it. These programs are really designed for big rig PCs. But I could be wrong since Macs are usually designed for music.
