I have the 670 and 520. 520 is my old one. The 670 is new and works great.

I have the 880 and I can't say enough good things about it. I really love the remote. It is expensive, but worth it in my opinion. If you look around you can find one for way under retail on ebay or somewhere else. Logitech has great customer support too. I had a problem with mine not making a connection with the charging station and they sent me a brand new one.

I would also recommend getting one of the models with the hard plastic buttons and not the rubbery ones. It makes a big difference in the feel of the remote. I also think the programming interface on the Logitech site is a pain in the butt to use, but once you get it set up, it works perfectly.

      Good luck!

I find it easier to use the interface on the actual software instead of going to the website. You can download the software from the website if you haven't.

I've had the 550 for a while, and it's pretty sweet. With the software you can customize just about everything about it. I really never have to use any of the 8 or 9 other remotes now.

yeah, those other remotes are probably great, but I am looking for opinions on the 880 or 720 models. huffphil, thanks. You can actually get the 880 for 150 through Amazon. I though that was reasonable.

I would jump on it at that price. Since it can always be updated with new equipment, it will never go out of date

Heelfan - thanks for the tip, I never noticed that you could download the update software before. I always just used the web interface.

I have a Harmony remote and my wife can use it just fine, but what's even more impressive is her parents can use it.

that is the best thing about the remote. Very chick friendly. My wife is a blonde and can use it fine.
