    Create Your Own Ringtones

I doubt many of you really care what your ringtone sounds like, but I recently came across a FREE way to create your own ringtones in case you'd like options.

It's called Mixxer.com (previously 3gupload.com). I've been on the site for a few years now, and I checked it out the other day and noticed that you could create your own ringtones.

It's so easy. Basically, you can upload any song under 4MB, and then decide which 30 second clip you'd like to have. Then, they'll send you a text message and you download it to your phone.

And if you have a song that's longer, just cut it down to 4MB or under and then do the same. I was using a program called GoldWave to do that part with.

If you have any questions, just ask.

You can also get a mini-USB (unless the phone uses a proprietary cable to connect to a PC) and download BitPim. If you have a motorola phone you can use mobile phone tools as well.

Edit: Man it won't let me choose sidekick for the phone model. I'll check mobile17.com

Well I can't comment on the other sites, but I love Mixxer.com, because it's very easy to use and you don't lose any quality. The others may be just as good though.

                  Also, if you have bluetooth...

I picked up a bluetooth thing from Best Buy (not phone specific, just a bluetooth piece) and can transfer audio (I made all my ringtones, using free program: mp3DirectCut), pictures, and video from/to your phone

*edit: The piece was like 25 or 30 dollars, iirc*

"Battesimo Del Fuoco" - The Dear Hunter

Hey, question. I tried using Eli's site, but it won't work for sidekicks. Mind explaining how you use your method? Thanks!
