    Good TV For 360 Gaming

Looking to upgrade to the HDTV world and the sticky thread is 100's of pages.

I want a 32" LCD given the space in my studio. It's not a long term investment, just something to play with for the next two years. When I leave Hawaii, I won't want to deal with shipping a TV. Is the 1080 a big deal for gaming compared to 720 on a screen that size?

Any recent buyers have a suggestion? I'm limited to Costco (or WalMart, I guess) on this island. I've been a Sony fan over the years but the Phillips and Samsung reviews look solid.

    Thanks.

Any specific TV that your looking at? Any links?

1080P right now is not that big of a deal, but 720P is. If your going to replace the TV in 2 years, don't spend the extra cash for a 1080P set.

A CRT HDTV is going to get you a better pic than a plasma or LCD. This is the TV I have, it's a great tv and can be picked up for around 600-800 dollars I think.

Thanks for the 1080/720 info. I'll see what Costco has tomorrow. Life without Best Buy and Circuit City really bites!

          I bet it does suck.

Are you looking for an LCD, Plasma, DLP, or CRT HDTV?

No preference. Looking for the best "gaming" and "sports watching" HD experience.

CRT is the way to go then.
