    Black Snake Moan

    Official Website

    1) Samuel L. Jackson in another movie with the word "snake" in the title. A pattern emerging?
    2) I didn't even recognize Christina Ricci. To me, she looks hotter/better with black hair.
    3) I love the song in the trailer, great Black Keys song.
    4) JT is in this movie.

Hmm...not too shabby. Probably a rental, though.

The only possible redeeming feature of this movie would be if Christina Ricci does 5 or 6 full frontal nudity scenes. Otherwise I think it will be worthless.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I'm personally gonna go see it. I saw the previews of it in the theatre and it looks pretty good. I love where Jackson has Ricci chained to his heater and she tries to run, he yanks on the chain, knocking her on the ground and he says, "get your *** back in my house!". Hilarious.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this flick. Craig Brewer doesn't seem the kind of guy to screw up an already whacked concept, but eh..I won't be convinced of anything until the closing credits.

Well when I read Samuel L. Jackson singing the blues during a thunderstorm, I thought, how could they mess that up, heh..

So, Samuel L. Jackson is definitely yelling in this movie, right?
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

From the same guy that wrote and directed Hustle and Flow.

Not sure how his other movies are, but I liked the above. Despite that, this movie actually looks interesting to me so I might try to catch it in theaters.
