Who are you talking about? The People on around the horn are sports writers hosted by Tony Reali who is a genius when it comes to sports trivia and stats.
He also hosted New York City's longest-running sports call-in program and was a reporter covering the Yankees, Mets, Giants and Jets. He was a writer for that sports trivia show on espn years ago.

The PTI guys are sports writers too, Wilbon has covered ever superbowl and NCAA Final Four since the early 80's. Kornheiser is a columnist from the Washington Post. He started the "Bandwagon" column back in the 80's when the skins won their first superbowl.

Sorry for the long post, but these guys have a clue its their profession they have been doing it for years. And most of them are entertaining as well, like Woody Page... he cracks me up. Thats my 2 cents.

          .
NYC's longest running sports call-in program? Reali looks looks to be only in his mid 30s. I'd think the longest running sports call-in show in NYC would be at least 20+ years running by now.

Why are they not qualified to do their jobs? they sure have experience in writing and covering sporting events and or the history of the sports. I know former players and coaches would have excellent knowledge, but they don't always turn out to have the best personality for the camera or skills to be a successful writers. Some do but most don't.

                        Bingo!

George Seifert was a pretty good coach but man was he brutal to listen to. Jim Kelly was no great shakes in the broadcast booth and in the studio either.

So.... after all this discussion of who should and shouldn't be commenting on sports....can we get an answer to the question at hand? Is Around the horn and PTI coming back anytime soon? I have missed it all week, I don't think I can take anymore nascar from 5 to 6pm.

thats the thing though, you dont have to get somebody who was a star player, you just have to get somebody who actually played sports in their lives

What are you doing, just trolling eh? It seems the defenders have backed their comments up, at the every least thinking about what they are posting. You, on the other hand, just seem to be trying to get a rise out of people who like the show(s). Tell me, you think you know more about sports than Wilbon, Kornheiser and the other Sports writers on these two shows? Seriously, stop trolling man. You may not like the show(s), no one can fault you for that, but let's try to maintain a semblance of intelligence when posting opinions ok?
                              PS: You guys are great.

I believe NASCAR now is ordinarily going to be an ESPN2 show but it's on the main network this week because of the Daytona 500. You will see ATH and PTI next week. You can almost bank on it.
