    The Nightwatchman (Tom Morello)

    Tom Morello, famous RATM/Audioslave guitarist, is finally releasing a solo album under his solo stage name The Nightwatchman. The album, One Man Revolution, comes out April 24th. For those not familiar with this side of Morello, its acoustic and Morello sings.



    Tom Morello's debut solo album as The Nightwatchman, One Man Revolution, produced by Brendan O'Brien, will be released April 24th by Epic Records. One Man Revolution features thirteen songs, with Tom on acoustic guitar and singing lead vocals for the first time ever. All songs were written by Morello. Tom has presided over a Tuesday night Nightwatchman residency in LA since November at Hotel Cafe, which has featured many of his musical cohorts including Serj Tankian, Perry Farrell, Shooter Jennings, Nuno Bettencourt, Sen-Dog from Cypress Hill, Jill Sobule, Boots Riley of The Coup, Alexi Murdoch, Jon Foreman from Switchfoot and others. Upcoming guests include Ben Harper and Butch Walker. The Nightwatchman will be touring extensively this spring, including a date at SXSW in March.

      That song on the myspace page has a very "Johnny Cash" feel to it. I'm not a big fan of his voice, but I think it'll grow on me.

        I'm hearing part Johnny Cash, part Bob Dylan. I like it. Can't wait to check the entire album out.

          I never would have expected a Morello solo album to sound like that. Hopefully his vocals grow on me, I didn't like it all that much my first listen.

            I listened to the song, came back a couple days later and he sounded better. I think its mainly because nobody expects to hear Morello sing like that.

              He plays for $10 every tuesday night in Hollywood. It's a pretty cool little scene!
