I just got back from seeing it. Terrific movie. Part comedy, part drama, part thriller, I really enjoyed the movie. I thought everybody was terrific in it.

I was just the opposite. It lasted a lot longer then it needed too and why I knew there was no climax coming (knowing the details) I still was left with a "that's it"?

yea I read an article about the movie, and it ended with something like, "keep an eye out for an aging man looking a little suspicious in the front row. He may just be the Zodiac!"

I was ready on KTVU.com that they have some DNA edvidence on the Zodiac killer from some old cases, so they are going to see if it the guy that they arrested years ago. That old guy teacher! To real for me to go see. lol

Agree. It was very interesting and had a great cast (everyone was great), but like Dook said, it was long (felt long too) and was a bit of a letdown even though I kinda knew how it'd end.

You get the feeling he's getting closer and then you realize that it's a true story and is still unresolved. Didn't hate it, but it wasn't my favorite either. Gyllenhall was great, so was Downey Jr. Was really surprised to see so many recognizeable faces. Donal Logue, Anthony Edwards, Brian Cox, Chloe Sevigny, Dermot Mulroney, James Carraway, John Mahoney, Adam Goldberg, Clea Duvall, and Charles Fleischer.

Saw it last night and loved it. Very accurate movie about the Zodiac. I learned today that Fincher did the Gears of War "Mad World" commercial. I guess he can do no wrong!

                              Re: Zodiac

I just saw the movie this afternoon and LOVED it. Yeah, the fact that there's no satisfactory "A Ha! we caught the Zodiac" moment to close the film was a bit of a downer but it was a very accurate film (Even using the old Gulf+Western Paramount Logo!) and the acting was top drawer. It reminded me a little bit of ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN in a way. I haven't seen Anthony Edwards in a long time and man he's looking kinda like Kevin Costner these days!

Anywho i'll have more to say about the movie in my blog by tomorrow.

Why do all movies have to end with the good guy winning to make it a good movie? Personally I think this is one of Hollywood's biggest problems, predictability. Of course in this case it is predictable in the sense you would be surprised if there was that moment but I'm just saying, an unhappy, inconclusive ending is not necessarily a bad thing, unless you have become addicted to how Hollywood formula.
