Help from Sony SXRD owners please
I have last years Sony SXRD and it does 1080P, but not true 1080P. (I don't understand this in the first place) My question is, would it be worth it to buy a true 1080p t.v and get rid of mine? Also, would 1080p games look that much better on a true 1080p t.v than mine? Thanks.Tags: None -

Re: Help from Sony SXRD owners please
I'm not an SXRD owner but what I think is meant by not being true 1080p is that it does not accept a 1080p signal. With the Xbox 360 you can set everthing to 1080i and the SXRD will de-interlace the signal to display it as 1080p, from what I hear the SXRD does this pretty well. There should be very little difference in image quality between a 1080p signal and a de-interlaced 1080i signal. I would not worry about it, the small increase in image quality is not worth getting a new television. -

Yeah I can't even tell any difference when I go from 1080i to 1080p for my 360. I dunno, maybe movies would look better though, I haven't tried that yet.I'm not an SXRD owner but what I think is meant by not being true 1080p is that it does not accept a 1080p signal.
