I bet he did it on purpose. He seemed dorky enough. He started marking out as soon as the second dude's bet was shown.

BTW, thanks for posting the vid of it. My family wasn't able to see it because of basketball (and they raised one hell of a fuss about it) and I was able to let them see it.

I bet he did it on purpose, to either keep playing because he thinks he can handle these guys and doesn't worry about losing to them or he wanted them all to have money.

From his laughter, I get the feeling they might have agreed to do it so they could all win the money and play again.

Still needed some luck for their wagers to be close enough to match up, but it seems like a plan.

I think he did it on purpose. After the second guy gets 16,000 he starts giggling and laughing.

Maybe he knows math, and he realized it would be a three-way tie after his bid is shown.

Are contestants able to even see what the other contestants are bidding during final jeopardy? If not, how could he have done it on purpose?

^ Because he knew that they all had $8,000 and they usually will bet all of their money if they're not winning anyways.

Or maybe it's because he knew that since he was last, he knew he had the right answer and that his wager made his score match the others.

Yea, but that would require him having been dumb enough to not wager enough money to win by one dollar.

I'm of the opinion that someone who made a mistake like that would have been upset rather than happy.

He gets the money and gets to go another round against people who obviously didn't know as much as he did, I wouldn't be too upset.

                              Nevermind, my logis is silly.

I think he just wanted a tie.
