Do you mean new shows in the works? This will also be The Wire's last season btw
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

New seasons of the Wire and Big Love. New Series from the creator of Deadwood: "John from Cincinnati", New series from the creator of Six Feet Under: "Untitled Vampire Series" and a series based on the comic book "Preacher"

Thanks for this information. Six Feet Under is my favorite series. Here's more news about the show -
        True Blood (2007)

The series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid living in Louisianna that can read people's minds, and how her life is turned upside down when the Vampire Bill, walks into her place of employment two years after vampires 'came out of the coffin' on national television.

The series is based on the novels by Charlaine Harris

Anna Paquin has signed to play Sookie, which is absolutely wonderful. She is a great actress, and willing to go blond for the part. Sam Trammell will play Sam. As you've already discovered, Ryan Kwanten will be Jason.

Its a long way off I'm sure but HBO signed a deal to do a series based on A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R R Martin. REALLY excited about that one.

In my opinion, HBO dropped the ball by canceling "Lucky Louie". That show was comic gold.

Agree, and it's not because Jim Norton was a part of it, even though that was the only reason I even started to watch it.

I had no idea who he even was before the show. I did a little research and found out he's a pretty big part of the Opie & Anthony Show. What do they have him doing on the show?

I'm not one to watch HBO regularly, only to watch their big time shows like rome, sopranos, and some entourage...so I never got to see that show. I don't see it on demand either.

If their DVD's weren't so horribly overpriced, I'd wonder if i would ever come out on that.

That show was great. I started watching it because it was on after Entourage but it was one of my favorite shows. There's no way the show they put in it's place is going to be better. The problem with that show is it's tough to pitch it to other networks because of all the cursing. Not even FX would show it. Louis, Norton, and the guy from Friends had great chemistry.

so is the appeal in the cursing? You could always take that down a notch, since FX does allow some.

The appeal is in how funny the show is. The jokes are so over the top that it wouldn't fly on FX. If they toned down the cursing the show wouldn't be as good IMO.

They canceled lucky louie? That was my favorite new show, its was the ultimate non sitcom, sitcom, as i think about it Hbo could start a new line of sitcoms, they have enough channels.
