Healthiest Foods that taste Good
Although I've lost 7 pounds(in 10 days) on a base "Turkey Pastrami" diet, that includes two turkey salami sandwiches on regular bread, 2 Yoplait regular (sugar contained)yogurts, and a bowl of "Bear Naked" low sugar cereal, I have found that the turkey pastrami is loaded with sodium and cholesterol, so starting Monday I'm going with another "base" food for my diet. Ant suggestions besides tuna fish?

Anything from Whole Foods.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Soy nuts are unreal, I pound through those things. They are a bit fatty but are a great source for protein.Comment

Re: Healthiest Foods that taste Good
I've lost 30 pounds since Thanksgiving and my base is mostly chicken breast without skin, usually flavored with garlic herbs and tons of vegetables with fruit being my sweet tooth satisfier (i'm partial to kiwis and oranges). As for snacks, I like to snack on tuna in water, pickles, olives, and sardines in water.
Here is my webpage that chronicles my weight loss (great for tracking food and exercise, tons of recipes on there too and best of all it's free)

And you can see everything I eat (I eat whatever I want on Saturdays so it's not a good day to view if you're looking for healthier fare) here:

Re: Healthiest Foods that taste Good
Almonds are a healthy snack food. Fruits are also great... I prefer apples, but most fruits and vegetables are great.
The un-healthiest "junk" food I eat is trail mix, which isn't terribly unhealthy, but is something I'd like to stop eating. My family keeps buying it though.
Generally, I'm very disciplined in what I eat. Oatmeal and a glass of juice for breakfast. Lunch is a (real) peanut-butter and banana sandwhich, a yogurt, two Nature Valley granola bars, and a cup of Dole mixed fruit. Supper is the only meal that varies depending on what's being cooked/prepared.
Generally, I think people eat far more than they need to. I tend to eat less, and in a sense, have trained my stomach to be comfortable with this. I'm by no means overweight; I just think it feels good to be healthy and life a healthy lifestyle.Enjoy football? Enjoy Goal Line Blitz!Comment

Re: Healthiest Foods that taste Good
I hate not having cash. I was about to join the gym but I'm paying off debt. Although I'm down about 10 pounds because I can't afford to grocery shop. I GM a Jimmy John's sub shop so I generally eat a sub and that's it for the day. Although on the weekends I don't work so I usually hit up Wendy's or McD's for a meal each day. I may be losing muscle but nothing makes me happier then the scale hitting a lower number.Comment

But if you're losing weight and eating healthier I don't think it's that big of a deal to have a treat every now and then.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
