28 Weeks Later

I loved 28 Days Later, but to me, this looks bad. Too big of a budget IMO, looks too much like Resident Evil.

The original is one of my favorite suspense/horror movies of all time. I still watch it with any of my friends who hadn't seen it. The first half of the trailer looked cool, the second half not so much. I still have faith because Danny Boyle, the director of the original is on as a producer but that trailer didn't make it seem like a must see.

And your right about how its filmed...It has lost all of its grittyness and style from the original now that they have done away with the handheld style of filming.

Maybe they might throw in some Godspeed You Black Emperor!

While it's fairly unlikely, it would be a cool effect if the first part with the repopulation was filmed cleaner than when the infected come back, which would return to the grittier film style of the original.

Anyways, doesn't look bad, but as said before, doesn't look nearly as shocking as the original.

I loved the first one, maybe the best zombie movie in the last 10+ years.

I will definately see this, almost no matter what.

I really liked the first one a lot, but this one here looks almost like it has taken a B-movie route. Too bad that Cillian Murphy wasn't returning, but as we know with zombie sequels you never get returning characters.

I'll watch it since 28 Days later is pretty damn near my favorite film of all time (top 3 for sure).

I don't even watch horrors that much but I watched 28 Day Later. However, this one doesn't seem to touch me like that one. It seems like it's too.....Hollywood-like. Reminds me exactly of Resident Evil. Sucks that these studios not only do remakes, but they do them with horrible direction in mind.......

Yeah, the first film was so intimate. Just a few people in a empty world, trying to make it to safety. You never knew when one (or more) of the infected would show up. Great tension. In the sequel, there are a lot of normal people around, and it loses that air of isolation and hopelessness. I'll still watch it, though it will be tough to top the original.

soooo is this still based in England? looks like some US armed forces were sent there to help things to keep things in order...looks like a rental for me as well

Yeh, its still in England. As far as I remember the infection never did spread across the globe.

Agreed. Such a shame, too. Great premise and execution (hehe) in the first film.
