Hey guys, is it really true you can link your ICQ to your AIm account and use both through AIM?

If anyone knows, can you tell me how?

Gaim allows you to do as much, but I am 99% sure AIM and ICQ work in conjunction on their own.

Gaim allows you to use any IM service and ICQ, all from the same client. No need to open separate programs if you use various messenging services.

It's open-source freeware. I've used it for six months plus, and it's super.

Well, my problem is, I cannot DL anything here at work.

I did in the past but they uninstalled everything becuase they had a server boo boo and didn't want anything interfering with it, telling me that my computer was acting as a server. Yeah right.

Gaim is very interesting though. Think i'll DL this one at home.

I used trillian too but i could never get it to connect to ICQ, plus it took up alot of system memory for some reason.

The reason ICQ is important is only because i chat with my bud from Italy on it. He works in the videogame industry and gives me the scoop and news on any and everything pretty much. He was the reason I was able to post about the 360 HDD was coming, Shaq was 2K'scover man the 1st year, gave me inside info on GRAW2 and a bunch of other stuff.

I think you can add ICQ #'s to your AIM buddy list and have them show up.

I could be wrong, but it's worth a shot.

You can. I have a relative in Germany who I talk to with AIM, and he shows up as his ICQ number.
