I hate Chevy's commercials so much. First they have Mellancamp with "Our Country" and now they have those baseball commercials that are extremely annoying.

Maybe it's good I don't live in the USA anymore, but I will be back next year and it's back to commercials...

I've said it before, but I can't stand the Pontiac convertible ads. Especially the woman talking about the amp.

That first condoms commercial was kind of funny, but that kid screaming would drive me crazy if I had to see it more than once.

The Quizno's commercial (It's not lacking any meat!)
The Gap commercial (Anything you can do, I'll shoot my brains out)
All the STUPID, STUPID, STUPID Verizon commercials
The HP commercials where people are morphing around like ******s
The Taco Bell commercial with those damn lions
The Skittles commercial with the yodeling/whatever the hell that is.

          Many, MANY more.
the taco bell ones are horrible, if you're going to have talking animals with nothing to do at all with a taco joint theme, at least go back to the dog.

A problem is that any idea, good or bad, is critiqued until it's been drawn through a PC filter 30 times. The snicker superbowl commercials got blasted since they "promoted" homophobia, the dumb GM one with the robot got two times the bad press, so commercials try to walk the line and end up lame.

I don't think either of those are any better than the one's on TV now. The first is funny, but there's no way I would want to see it more than once.

I guess the fact that they're exotic, involve sex, and are on YouTube and not TV make them desirable, but neither commercial is successful at being memorable for what it's selling.

Most people here listed commercials that they consider to suck, but they are able to instantly attach a brand to the commercials they dislike. Thus, the commercial is successful, and memorable for the right reasons, from an advertising standpoint.

Realistically, I don't think many people see a commercial and buy a product based solely on the commercial, unless they are mindless sheep, but if the commercial is able to have staying power in one's mind, then it's successful to some extent.

yeah, but you aren't supposed to let consumers attach your brand to something bad in their minds. I love quiznos, however the one with the giggling slut talking about loving her man meat is annoying.

Even Mcdonalds has that one where they are playing soccer and they don't tell you it's a Mcdonalds commercial until the end. At least that's trying to do it right...
