Any OSers design Websites?

Complicated ones like a youtube or a myspace.

From what I was told it takes alot of coding.

Just wondering what it takes for sites like that to run and operate.

I've done quite a few things complexity wise like that. It takes a LOT of time to do, of course over time a lot of stuff on both sites have been added gradually. (though even then, quite a bit)

Money wise of course incredibly expensive, especially hosting, but hiring programmers, designers, etc.

Im a web and graphic designer, currently working for microsoft. Sites like the ones you listed are extremely complex, but you can get a site similar to something like that now adays with server side programs that do all the work for you. All you really need to do is build a front end bucket to fill in the information and call to those programs. Thsi of course means you need a dedicated server you can get your hands on and install the software needed. Hope this helps.
