LOL.. I guess a divorce will change a man.

I think it's kind of ironic that he makes fun of the FM "shock jock" DJ's, but then he tries to do bits himself. The one last week when he pretended to be Jay Cutler, and had Amanda his producer ask him questions. It was so not funny.

Enough of your "philosophy" there Colin. I don't need life advice from a guy who is twice divorced and never stays at the same job. As he always says, he has worked in all corners of the US. I guess people get tired of his act everywhere he goes.

And that Sportsnation show? God that's AWFUL. Is he a comedian now?

I don't watch Sports Nation, or whatever that show he's on is called, but I dig that chick that works with him; she could get it. Maybe she's the reason for the divorce, lol... Hadn't his wife just given birth when they got the divorce?

I thought Colin has only been divorced once.

I enjoy listening to Cowherd. He's right 95% of the time no matter what subject he is talking about. I like it when he goes off topic and goes into "Uncle Colin" mode giving advice.

He's a major star and ESPN knows it. They offered him Dan Patrick's old spot once he left and they gave him his own TV Show.

I wouldn't recommend his show if you don't like Football though.

Yeah, I agree...At the same point I'm not as hard on radio guys as it seems people here are. Some people make me wonder if there's anyone on tv or radio that they actually do like.

Like I always say, he's hands down, far and away, my favorite guy on radio. I actually just finished dowloading his show from ESPN Insider... I always listen to it while I work out. The only time is sucks is when he makes me laugh while in the middle of lifting, lol.

I like Cowherd personally, but I totally agree with you here Mgo, seems like most people hate everyone on the radio.

I assume you mean Brian Kenny. That was one of the only tolerable sports talk shows I listened to when Kenny and Max Kellerman were on in New York. Then they got rid of Kellerman, and replaced that time slot with Cowherd.

I have to admit I'm a Gottlieb fan too. Actually, long before he entered the world of sports talk radio, I was a fan of his when he played at Oklahoma State. Cowherd, on the other hand, is an arrogant, hypocritical tool that thinks way too highly of himself.

I don't hate every ESPN radio talk show host, but I do feel what everyone is saying about Cowherd. I tried listening to him again for the first time in weeks, the other day, and I couldn't stand more then a few minutes of it. I told myself, "Wow.. this dude just needs to shut up.. plain and simple"... lol

                          I like late night, what's that guy's name ? I keep forgetting..

Jason Smith or something like that ?

I know it leans in the favor of southern sports fans and primarily those who live in the state of Alabama, but Paul Finebaum is actually one of my favorite shows they play on ESPN radio here. He's a bammer, but he's very fair and not overly opinionated.. and he let's people speak their mind and have their opinions when they call into his show...

                            I like him too John

Sure he may be "toolish" but he reminds me of Petros Papadagos. Both guys never really "made it" in their sports, but they can give insight in a manner that appeals to me, a young 20's type guy. These guys don't give a damn about anything and will speak their mind but still manage to keep it somewhat eloquent.

Both guys are usually spot on IMO on their takes about college bball and football.

Cowherd is OK until he starts acting above people because he has money. If he didn't tell stories about his rich childhood and current situation he'd be better to listen to. Granted he doesn't do this all the time, but it happened more than a handful of time in the past few years.

I haven't listened to Cowherd in a long time, but he had definitely rubbed me the wrong way with the crap he spewed about Kirby Puckett and Sean Taylor. That's why I stopped listening. The ESPN late night crew is far more tolerable than what they put out there during the day (Scott Van Pelt aside).

Allow me the chance to plug my man Bomani Jones from 10-1 on our local station here, at www.620thebull.com. Highly entertaining.
