yeah i dont mind cowherd. to me its just like any other national talk show. I dont agree with his opinions sometimes but he's cool an entertaining.

I hate local radio talk shows they are always bias and who wants to listen to high school recruiting for hours.

I miss Kornheiser on the radio that was true entertainment because he didnt always talk about sports for 2 hours and thats what I need

I try to listen to Rome my co worker loves him i just cant get into it. nothing wrong but just not for me especially a whole day for the smack down talk or whatever its called

I like Rome when he is either riffing on a subject or doing an interview, since he does get pretty good guests... When he starts taking calls from the "clones", I gotta leave.

-I love it here, and want to retire here.
-I'll think about that in the off-season, right now I'm all about the next game.
-I don't take anyone lightly, you have to bring it every night in this league/division/conference.
-I would play for free I love this game so much.
-We take it one game at a time.
-They're a great team.

I should say that I rarely listen to Rome's show. I would catch it once in awhile when I would go out and drive for lunch, usually as I was flipping channels. When he was taking calls, I found it uninteresting and wack. As it stands, he's never really high on my list of listening priorities.

Gnome & Cowmanure are clones of each other. They can make the simplest conclusion that any ******** 2 yr old could make & they act like they just explained the theory of relativity.

I prefer Colin to Rome, but they're both buffoons.

I like the format of Rome's show. It'd be better without him. Case in point, JT the Brick's show is much better, imo.

The two things I can't stand about Rome: 1) I agree with Laettner, he blows as an interviewer. Every question is, "You don't think that, do you?" or "It's like this, isn't it?" Softball after softball. ZZZZZZZ. 2) When he happens to stulmble onto something that's actually funny, he repeats himself over and over and over. And over. And over.

I finally found someone that is better than Rome, and his name is Colin Cowherd.

I like it when he goes into Uncle Colin mode and gives out life advice. He's bang on 99% of the time. I crack up everytime he rips into wrestling fans calling them a bunch of booger eating losers.

He's pretty honest about saying something just to get the listeners/viewers riled up.

BTW with all the blogs out there, I'm surprised no one has been able to dig up a picture of his friend Ann or Bill Simmons wife.

The problem with Cowherd is that while he admits that he does stuff to get people lathered up, he sometimes crosses the line. The day after Kirby Puckett died, he comes on and starts talking about "Well, Kirby wasn't such a great guy". We all know what happened with Kirby and his wife, but is this really the time to be talking about that, when the man's body isn't even cold? Same thing with the Sean Taylor murder. Cowherd stuck to his guns with the whole "his past caught up to him" and "you can clean the carpet but there's still gonna be a stain". But you heard nothing out of him after it was determined he was the victim of a botched robbery.

People find it hard to take you seriously after that, and it's ESPN's fault. They were promoting the crap outta him a couple years ago. He was on the NFL draft, they had him on that stupid all-ESPN channel coverage of UNC-dook, and countless other shows. He's nothing more than a FM Morning Zoo type DJ who happens to do sports.

That's why I don't get how the same people who hated SAS can love these morons. For some reason, people in radio think arrogance is entertaining. Fine. But at least Smith was willing to say, "I blew that one." CC approaches sports like Kim Jong-Il approaches governement. Absolutely no clue how he appears to the world, thinks he's always right & blames others for making him appear wrong.
