Colin Cowherd proves he is a jackass again...

I don't know how many of you listen to Cowherd, or even ESPN Radio, but Cowherd has proven once again that he is a p.o.s.

On Thursday I was out of the area and was listening to ESPN Radio during his segment. He launched into some monologue about how he has the ability to shut down almost any site just by mentioning it and how it would be amusing to do that to a "random" site everyday. The site he "randomly" picked: thebiglead.com (a site well known for it's criticism of ESPN, but who have attacked Colin only once). Well, he managed to knock the site out in a matter of minutes, for a total of about 48 hours. They are back online now, and have a decent little blog about what happened and about how they have no idea why it happened.

Anyway, ESPN's response to the incident was rather slow until this morning, when their newly hired Ombudsmen called him out on the front page of ESPN.com, saying that ESPN has a "no tolerance policy" to action such as this. What this actually means for Colin now is hard to say.

I guess Colin turned into the FM DJ guy that he always criticizes because he managed to do something off the wall without checking with the lawyers on the legal ramifications of such a stunt. Because what he did, with malicious intent, is very illegal. Not to mention an overall jackass move.

I hope the new Ombudsman nudges ESPN towards firing his ***! It probably won't happen but Cowherd needs to be put down a peg or two.

Bad move by Colin, but I love his show. Maybe it's because I'm a huge football fan and that's what he spends most of this time on, but he's my favorite ESPN Radio host.

colin is a jackass the guy does not have very much sports knowledge. He acts like a know it all.. I would love to see him get fired. ESPN needs to bring Eric Kuselis back to radio.

The guy is a turd. Same guy that was bashing everything about Cincinnati, including stuff he made up, last week on his radio show after Mayor Mallory had that spectacular first pitch on Opening Day.

I don't want to sound dumb but what in the world is a ombudsmen? I read the column from the women, and I'm still not sure. Can anyone explain? BTW Cowherd is a jerk, and he should be fired, not just for this, but because he's a tool who doesn't deserve his own show IMO.

In short, an ombudsman is a person hired to be the voice of the people. The ombudsman's job is to call ESPN on any BS they may see, let them know what they like, don't like, that type of thing. An ombudsman does not have any authority to hire/fire people or anything like that. They just report to the people who make those decisions and act as an independent consultant, designed to represent what the public thinks, sees, and wants.

Maybe not a very cool thing to do to a sight, but I think his show's awesome. Every morning I gotta listen to spanning the globe, it's best part of ESPN radio's day. Plus as shortsoldier said, you gotta love all the football he talks.

This guy is a complete moron, he wasnt any better when he was on KGW here in Portland before he left for the bright lights of ESPN. Im so glad he did leave though, after hearing his rediculous opinions here in Oregon for years its a nice break to have some knowledgable people here again.
