Re: Black Sabbath
Their two disc set Symptom Of The Universe is great. Every track is a stone cold classic. How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.Comment

Re: Black Sabbath
Since I started this thread and admitted to only having listened to Ozzy Sabbath, I have nothing to be ashamed of.............6/12/77. I grew up in the later part of the Sabbath era's, but only listened to the Ozzy Sabbath. Just the last few days I have decided to start delving into Dio Sabbath. I'm a child of the 80's hair bands and some 70's rock.
As much as I like some of today's music, it still does not compare to the music that I grew up listening to imo.Last edited by CaptainZombie; 04-13-2007, 02:07 AM.Comment

Re: Black Sabbath
I was born on July 21st,1961. I started listening to music around 1966. My older sister had all the "hip" stuff on record-The Beatles,Dylan,Stones-etc. I run the whole nine yards when it comes to music. For instance, yesterday I listened to Korn while in my car, then later I listened to some classic Steely Dan. Music is a big part of my life, and rock is my song.
Not only am I an avid listener of all kinds of music, I am also a guitarist/drummer that has been playing for over 20 years(And I don't mean that guitar hero business)I have been going to concerts since 1978 and have seen more bands than I care to count. Old or new,if it sounds good-I'm there.ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

Re: Black Sabbath
LOL! Guys I bought the Dio Years album yesterday and there are some very good songs on there. I kinda kick myself for not really giving Dio Sabbath a chance in the past. One of my favorite songs has to be "I", very badass.
How was Martin on vocals with Sabbath?
Where did Bolt go? He called out all these peeps in the thread, but never returned.Last edited by CaptainZombie; 04-13-2007, 11:36 PM.Comment

Re: Black Sabbath
I had just a few CD's with him singing. "Headless cross" "TYR" and "Eternal Idol". Headless cross is a must get. Very heavy stuff with banshee type vocals. TYR-real concept stuff, almost to the point of boredom. Maybe if I had it again I'd think different. It was kind of a story album. Eternal Idol was cookie cutter and that's about it. I don't know about his other stuff. Tony at times sounded like Joe Turner from RainbowByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment
