    GPS Systems

I am about to change jobs in a few weeks that will have me driving all around Houston. I am terrible with directions so I am looking into getting a GPS system. I am currently leaning towards getting a Garmin Nuvi 350.

Does anyone have any suggestions on any others that I should look into? Any help you would be able to give would be appreciated because I have never used GPS before.

I have a Garmin c320 and use it for work all the time. I have also used it on a few trips as well. It has a small data chip instead of the internal hard drive but I figured the less to go wrong. Plugs into my lighter plug and off I go.

I just moved to Fort Worth and recently picked a Nuvi 350. It's well worth the price in my opinion. Getting lost drives me insane and before the Nuvi I would get lost quite often.

Now there's no need for maps, just addresses. Once you have your destination address, simply input into the Nuvi, and it will do the rest. Voice recoginition(for naming streets)is handy but sometimes the unit will get confused, or can't pronounce some difficult names. No big deal for all the advantages this unit can give.

Last week I had to take my brother in law to Dallas Love Field at around 4-5pm. The traffic on DFW highways is always terrible, and even worse at that time. I made the Nuvi "avoid highways" and it took me all the way back to my house without hitting the highways. I traveled around 40 miles in just about an hour, instead of at least two hours on the highway. Simply outstanding. That trip alone might of been worth the $400 I paid for my Nuvi.
