    Cam'ron defends Stop-Snitching Code

    http://www.mp3.com/news/stories/9365.html

In an interview with 60 Minutes to air on Sunday night, the rapper tells correspondent Anderson Cooper that his code of ethics would prevent him helping police solve a case, even if he knew that there was a serial killer living next door to him.

"If I knew the serial killer was living next door to me?" Cam'ron--real name Cameron Giles--responded to a hypothetical question posed by Cooper. "I wouldn't call and tell anybody on him--but I'd probably move. But I'm not going to call and be like, 'The serial killer's in 4E.' "

Snitching to the police, even on a serial killer, would violate Giles' "code of ethics," he said, and it would also be bad for his business.

        Re: Cam'ron defends Stop-Snitching Code

I don't necessarily follow the code of "stop snitchin and stop lyin' " but I can at least understand where they are coming from ............ but even then there's a fine line you have to draw when applying this.

If someone gets caught doing something illegal with their partners on the streets (but the partners don't get caught) then snitching them out just to get you reduced or free time would perhaps violates the "code of the streets" .......... but that is quite different from the serial killer example provided by the interviewer.

Cam's definition of "stop snitchin" is not cool IMO. And some people actually are that serious about this deal. I don't see how snitching on, say, a child molestor would violate the "code of the streets"......... admittedly I don't know that much about the streets so I may be missing something.

Im sure he thinks thats a great idea until someone he knows and loves is attacked and witnesses won't tell who did it because they don't want to be "snitches".

Some people are so stupid now a days, the sad thing is is that their are kids out there who probably look up to him.

This is just a way for these guys to express their bravado IMO. Instead it just shows how much true stupidity there is in their heads.

              Cam is an idiot.

and while we're on the topic, he's a garbage rapper as well.

This makes no sense. No, don't go out of your way to snitch, but if someone is a serial killer or a child molester and you don't do anything about it, you deserve a spot in hell right beside them.

How many main stream rappers are there that would make it look good?
