wow.. sad to hear.. according to CNN news, apparently one of the planes had been suffering some "malfunctions" prior to this incident..

Just saw this on CNN. They are such an iconic part of American culture. They are such a part of major sporting events.

Wow...I had an opportunity to fly with the Blue Angels about a year ago in Wilmington, just before our big air show. Sad, sad story.

I remember catching them down at the beach here on LI the past few summers.. they also land at the airport by me (talk about loud)... I heard someone from the Buccaneers went up in one of the planes at this airshow (where the crash took place), before the crash..

I was at a Spring Training game in March in Tucson. The Blue Angels spent the entire afternoon practicing over Tucson Electric Park for the air show that was scheduled for the next day. Baseball and the Blue Angles in the same afternoon. It was great.

This is indeed sad.
