Re: Life out there, big possibility
I'm on your boat, though, feeling that carbon dioxide could also be used to sustain life and that we are limiting ourselves to our system of life.
I think that we are just being egotistic and ignoring that life out there could work in ways we don't know or could ever imagine.
But, it's always met with an argument on the subject so I try not to say too much about it anymore."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Life out there, big possibility
I will believe to my dying day that we're not alone. We can't be, I mean the universe is far too immense and infinite. The thought of us being the only intelligent life is in some ways very sobering and kind of sad.
