    Computer help.

My "D" key has been totally ripped off of my laptop keyboard. Is it possible to have this repaired?

Uh, probably. Hard to know what you're talking about, though, because different laptops use different ways to put the heys down... some can snap on and off... some you have to fix. Is there any white things that came off or something?

Yeah, a white thing did come off and there are some metal looking things that are loose too. I know this key would not just snap back on.

I'm not sure if this is true with all laptops, but with Apple's you can bring them to an Apple Store and they can replace the keys for you.

Think Geek Squad at Best Buy could handle this? Or would the charge be a crazy dollar amount cause they gotta get the "D" shipped in from overseas or something?

They charge an insane amount for everything, I know someone that paid $200 to get spyware wiped off their system.

If you cant get the key back on by putting the white thing in the middle and snapping the key on then you may want to see how much a new keyboard is. Usually you have to disconnect a connector that is attatched to a delicate/fragile cable, not that big of a deal. I would look up info on your laptop and see whats involved. Of course if its under warranty then send it in for repair.
