Greatest Sci-Fi Movies/TV of the last 25 Years

This list according to EW. Rather interesting. I agree with a lot of it. Still think there was a place on the list in the lower half for Revenge of the Sith. Has anyone seen the movie Brazil? Sounds kind of cool.

    MLB: Cincinnati Reds
    NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
    NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
    NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
    NHL: Calgary Flames

I usually hate these types of lists, especially where sci-fi is concerned, but the EW folks got a lot right on that list. I do like several of the 20-11 picks more than a few of the 10-1 picks though. Overall though, a pretty good job.

I also really like that they smacked Lucas in the mouth by basically saying that everything since The Empire Strikes Back has been crap. Revenge of the Sith is obviously a better movie than freaking Galaxy Quest, but I think they were trying to make a point. Mission accomplished!

I think FREQUENCY should've found its way on the list somewhere. I guess it's too much of an underrated gem.

Agreed. "Frequency" is one of my favorite movies. Very underrated.

Good list. IMO Futurama should be a bit higher.

Thanks to this list, I finally found some affordable seasons of the X-Files.

                    Predator should be #1.

                    Starship Troopers at #2.

What ever you want can be the rest.

I think Galaxy Quest deserves to be there more than Revenge of the Sith. Galaxy Quest is a cult classic. Revenge of the Sith will only be remembered as the only watchable Star Wars prequel.

I would replace Starship Troopers with Dark City which really deserves to be in the top 10. If they really must insist on putting a second Verhoeven movie on the list with Total Recall, Robocop would have been a better choice than Starship Troopers.

At least, they didn't do anything crazy like put Equilibrium on the list.

One of my all-time favorite television series until up to season seven. And even though people didn't really like it, I LOVED me some Star Trek: Voyager.

Pretty solid list. Some of my favorites that are missing are:

                          Star Trek: DS9

Good call on Dark City. That should definitely be somewhere on that list, especially given that the Matrix is #1 and Dark City clearly influenced the Matrix movies a great deal.

Thats a decent list but I'm a little disappointed with the lack of stargate/sg 1.
