    A question for U2 fans............

These guys been around a long time and churned out a staggering number of hit songs,as many of you know already. So,here's my question: If you could pick only ONE song by them that best defines their feel/signature sound,or what makes them U2,what what it be? it's really a tough question and after thinking about it for awhile my choice would be "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" that song has a mesmerizing guitar hook accompanied by lyrics that anyone could easily relate too. The vocals are top notch and the rythmn section is locked in with the signature U2 sound. I think it would be interesting to see the answer of anyone that's a fan of this band. U2 had different phases of "sound" also to even make it more interesting. I lean more toward their more recent offerings, although the older stuff was top notch.

Sunday Bloody Sunday. The intro riff, well, it just gets me excited. They have so many good songs.

I'm not a huge U2 fan but I do like them. I'd go with "Sunday Bloody Sunday" as well.

Sunday Bloody Sunday is definitely a solid answer, but for some reason whenever I think "U2", I think "All Because of You". I'm not even sure why.

I love "Desire" and "Pride (In the Name of Love)" by far my two favorites.

              Agreed.

"One" is U2's best song, but "Streets" has that distinctive U2 sound -- anthemic, uplifting, tons of guitar effects, huge vocals from Bono, drum roll riffs from Mullen.

              Take care,

Yeah, Streets is right up there for me, either 1 or 2. The song "City of Blinding Lights" has a very similar feel to me: like you said, anthemic, uplifting, effects, vocals...

"One"- is a very good choice. For some reason the slow songs have that "sound" that let's me know it's them right off. Another honorable mention for me is "Miracle drug" ,anyway,it is interesting that the U2 sound is always changing in some way,but yet it's still them no matter what. That's why I like them.
