    Across the Universe

    Trailer

I saw the trailer for this when I saw Spiderman today. If nothing else, I'll have to check out the soundtrack since it will be full of Beatles covers. The movie itself looks interesting. I'll keep it on list for awhile.

yeah I've seen it both times I went to see Spidey, and it reminds me a lot of Big Fish... I'll probably catch it on DVD.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'll be catching this one for sure if it gets favorable reviews.

not really, but how many ways can you redo songs?

for note, a pretty good "Beatles" soundtrack is the one from "I Am Sam"

This seems like a really odd movie, but if it is done well it could be very interesting. I don't think there is much of a need for more Beatles covers(how original), but the movie looks like it could be pretty good.

movie looks like an acid trip. But so was most of the 60's-70's pop culture.

                          Re: Across the Universe

So I just watched this and there was certainly some weird scenes (the creepy circus looking dude with the tent comes to mind) that just didn't make sense to me but I think overall it was a solid movie. Second half to me was better than the first.

                          Music was obviously well done.

                          Anyone else see it?

It would have been better if they would have had like...half the songs in it. They crammed too many songs in and completely ruined any sort of pace the movie tried to set.

I liked the "Hey Jude" cover, though.
