The next Spidey Movie

Ok there much lots of rumors of a fourth Spiderman with different actors as our stars. Now i must say though, i hope they don't start all over. I mean with the Batman movie, they decided to start all over which worked really well for it. For Superman they went another route though, which was ok.

Now the thing is that the spiderman movie are still in thier prime. I wouldnt want them to start over. Yet is it possibly that they would go the route of Batman Begins??

I hope not, i hope its a continuation with different actors

Recasting would be a huge mistake IMO. It sounds like they want to replace Toby & Dunst and continue the story from where 3 left off. I can't think of any sequals that came within a few years of the previous movie that switched stars and actually worked. Batman Begins worked because 1) they took so much time between the last movie and 2) they took a completely different approach to telling the story, they basically hit the 'reset' button on the series.

They will make an absurd amount of money on any sequals they release if the same actors are in the movie, they should sign Maguire & Dunst to the ridiculous contracts they want and keep moving ahead with the series. That or stop making them, I just can't see things going well if they switch the lead actors and the director.

Bring back Tobey but Dunst needs to go IMO. A new MJ is a must.

How did the old James Bond movies work with the characters randomly changing so often?

it's all just suits arguing over how to make money. The people playing the roles won't matter if it's still a great movie, they can even evolve the characters from what they are now. It's not like this will sour people on the franchise just because the man that plays spiderman is now different.

The Bond movies are sequels but not in a continual order, so there's not may if any references to previous movies in them.

You need to keep the main cast together if you're going to make more. But I think if Raimi decides he wants to move on, you won't be seeing Maguire or Dunst return. No chance. If Raimi decides he wants to stick with it (do the lizard story biatch), then I'm sure Sony/Maguire/Dunst will work it out to make it happen.

Pffft. Dunst is just fine as MJ, she fits the part perfectly.

I noticed that you seem to love Dunst a lot, she's doofy goofy Fly, and if you really wanted to get serious, shes really not a good MJ, go back in the comics and look at what MJ was, she was a huge breasted drop dead beautiful women, and thats not Dunst at all. The only thing Dunst has in common with the comic MJ is her hair. Thats all.

The only thing Dunst has in common with the comic MJ is her hair. Thats all.

I don't "love" Dunst but I feel she gets way too much unwarranted hate. And, I'm not comparing MJ's character to how Dunst actually looks, but how Dunst portrays MJ on film and she does a damn good job at doing so.

Reason Batman begins did so well is because for every batman movie there was, there was a different actor. that and it cam out like 6 or more years after the one before it.

I keep hearing that Kristin and Tobey want out though, cause they dont want thier entire acting existence to be based of Spiderman. Yet really if it wasn't for Spiderman thier names wouldn't be house hold items

Personally I love them as the characters, but if they were to change the characters, i would't mind
