I heard in a Dunst interview (some late night show) that she began Spiderman when she was 17. She's now 25 (I think). That's EIGHT years to be focused on one movie franchise not to mention trying to branch out and do other projects as well. I could definitely see where they are coming from.

Re: The next Spidey Movie
Dunst and Tobey have never, and will never, do a movie as big as any of the three Spiderman movies ever again.
If they don't want their career to be based off three of the highest-grossing movies in history...what the hell do they want? Plus, for Tobey, who the hell doesn't want to be known as Spiderman? He's a kid's Icon, and really, everyone knows who Spiderman is. Maybe he'd rather be known as the Jockey? Who knows.Comment

Re: The next Spidey Movie
About letting Spiderman rest in peace. Comic book movies have a limited shelf life and judging by Spiderman 3 this thing has been played out. Did we not learn our lesson with Star Wars where those 3 prequels were a disjointed, unnecessary mess and only harmed the legacy of the original trilogy. This latest movie shows the series is running out of gas and should end there before it becomes a parody of itself like Star Wars did.
We've gone thru Peter Parkers angst of being a superhero thru 3 films. What else is there left to explore. He became a superhero in #1, couldn't handle the pressure in #2, was full of himself and had to fight his inner demons in #3. All a 4th film would do is be the same tired formula along the lines of something stupid like Parker is losing his hair or has crabs. Followed by massive amounts of CGI and as many villians as possible being crammed into one movie. It would just end up being a long winded video game just to show how cool the special FX can get.Comment

Whenever I see Dunst I don't even think of MJ, but Mary from Eternal Sunshine. Yeah, she can't act at all. *rolls eyes*Originally posted by EWRMETSMaybe the best post in OS's history. If you don't think Tony Romo is a Hall of Famer, you support al Qaeda.Comment

Re: The next Spidey Movie
I don't know man, I was a fan of McGuire's before the Spider Man movie. The difference between him and say, a Christopher Reeve is that Reeve had done nothing really significant until Superman. Wonderboys, The Cider House Rules, and Pleasantville were all good movies that he did great in and he was already making a name for himself. He's a very good actor, I think he would be alright.PS: You guys are great.
