    The Weirdest Glitches

This thread inspired me to make this thread.

Provide videos if you've got some... but Stories are Cool Too!

What are the weirdest glitches you've ever experienced?

The weirdest one ever for me was on my PC version of NBA Live 2000. Vince Carter made every buzzer shot he took. It didn't matter what quarter, what game, if he was hot/cold, whatever... he just made every one. He was probably like 37 for 37 on those shots in games we used him (and then stopped because of the realization around 14 out of 14) but when we played the CPU and they had Vince, we had to deal with it.

I swear, CPU teams would trade him around to teams that would play us next just so we would always face Vince... we faced him on many different teams... he was no longer a Raptor, but he wasn't a Net either. He was a Warrior lol (back where he started).

O.k., I've never ever bought a computer game, but for some reason NBA Live 2000 is in my library. Man did I play the hell out of that game. I bought a controller and everything. Sorry I didn't contribute to the thread.. but just wanted to comment on how awesome that game was. Legends, graphics, music.. that was truly a classic. Best NBA Live ever.. but only for the PC.

      My weirdest glitch?

This one time I was walking up some stairs in a run down building when I saw a black cat appear twice and walk across a doorway. It was deja vu. Unfortunately, I don't remember much after that.

It's the best basketball game ever made (for it's time). I was never more satisfied with a game than I was with that game. Flawless (except VC).

World Series Baseball for Sega Genesis....

other team got a hit I think, one of my infielders ends up with the ball and should have thrown it back to the pitcher. Instead, he turns and hurls it deep into the outfield (I had no control over it) and my outfielders have to chase after it. Very weird. I think that is what a glitch is, right?

Not really a glitch but I remember some of the old NCAA Football games would spit out some of the weirdest names ever for recruits...I remember one fondly, a black RB named Chan-Ho McGriff. You can't make this up lol.

Another one I remember is on one of the older WWE Smackdown games...I won the World Title as The Rock in Story Mode. I'm going into a PPV to defend it (Summerslam I believe) and my opponent is none other than.....The Rock?!? WTF??? Yes I had to defend the title against myself haha, funny stuff.

love the NBA live stories! im a veteran myself!
i used to play NBA live 97 even more tho... and we had incredible fun with it..

              3 glitches:

              1. i played the bulls alot.. and for what ever reason Luc Longley (Center) was able to hit the first 3 pointer that he took, but none afterthat... used that one everytime

              2. well this is not a glitch really but we used to try a turnaround fade away jumper from the very corner of the field (the max distance possible) with hakeem...an hit it with some frequency

              3. an this is the weirdest one by far.. one of the most amasing things about the game was the instant replays.. obviously after a nice play we would look at it, and starting one day.. some of the shots didnt go in in the replay.. you would hit a nice buzzer beater, look at it, and the ball wouldnt go in

great stuff... so many fond memories..

              oh one last one:

again not a glitch... but sometimes me and both of my brothers would play.. one joystick, keypad... annndddd.... the friggin mouse
one guy had to play with the mouse
it was horrible... you had "shoot" "pass" .. and the guy would run automatically, so if you wanted to stop you had to hit the space bar ... it was wild..
3 kids on one chair at my fathers desk..

ah, the mouse controller... priceless stuff... I know what you mean about not stopping... it made for some hilarious animations while shooting. Not to mention in NBA Live 97 specifically, guys could float back and forth in the air ala Super Mario style. The combo of not being able to stop and being able to change directions in mid-flight, produced hours of uncontrollable laughing from my brothers, my friends, and me.

yeah thats what i meant by turnaround fade away..
hakeem with the back to the basket, jumping turning in midair then leaning back and shooting from full court .. ball goes in..

Mentioned it in the QOTD, but anyone play John Elway's Quarterback on NES? The one reverse play was a GREAT glitch, since the WR would catch the ball and would start running like the Flash! You could run up and down the field, run circles around the D, it was hilarious!

Haha I remember one time when I was playing NFL 2K2 against the Eagles... they were around their 20 yard line, and on the snap McNabb dropped back, was ready to throw... then for some reason he does a quick turnaround and fired it backward, and it went into and past the endzone for a safety!

I don't know if this was the strangest glitch I have ever had, but yours certainly reminded me of it.
