    Looney Tunes Golden Collection

Does anybody else have these on DVD? I picked up Volume one today (finally) and am loving rediscovering these fantastic cartoons.

I also have Volume One. These sets are a huge drain on my resources tho. At least they're fully restored, uncensored and have some pretty good extras.

If you're a fan of him at all you should get the forthcoming POPEYE set coming out on July 31st. It has 5 hours of bonus features alone!

Does it have the classic cutting room floor version of Porky Pig doing his famous sign off where he pops through the circles and goes:

        "Son-uv-a-bee-buh-bee-buh-bee....., Son-uv-a-bee-buh-bee-buh-bee....., Son-uv-a-gun....... I bet you thought I was gonna say Sonuvab1tch, didn't 'cha?!"

Lmao first time I saw that.

I've been wanting to pick one of these sets up for a while now, but the price is a little too steep still. Once they drop or I see a good sale I will pick at least one up, doesn't get much better than Looney Tunes.

I have the first four sets. They're a real treasure trove - alternate music only tracks, documentaries, and all those glorious cartoons.

They have some of the racially questionable ones - I think set three starts with a disclaimer from Whoopi Goldberg about "different time, different social sensibilities". It is generally in the bonus features; the last one had a bunch of the Private Snafu WWII cartoons Warner Brothers did for the Army. Lots of offensive German and Japanese caricatures. Real ugly stuff.

If the big 4-disc sets are too rich, they've put out a 2-disc "best of" from each set that I've seen for $20 or so. I've also seen the full sets for under $40 at the warehouse clubs around the holidays. At Deep Discount DVD has a sale around thanksgiving that is 20% off everything. You just got to keep your eyes open.

I was watching Water, Water Every Hare last night and was definitely caught off guard when Bugs and the Evil Scientist got high off ether. Talk about different times.
