HD-DVD or BluRay on Multiplatform Movies?
I was going to place this in the HD-DVD/BD thread, but I think that this wouldn't make sense placing it in there, unless the mods say it does.

Re: HD-DVD or BluRay on Multiplatform Movies?
Usually whichever version I can find at that discount DVD store I posted about a few months ago (got Smokin' Aces on HD DVD combo for $14.99 last week). I used to buy more Blu-Ray's to actually get some use out of my PS3, but I've gotten out of that mode and I'll buy whatever I can find for cheap. Difference in PQ is negligible (to me).PS4: aBayBates

HD-DVD mostly for the java support. The PQ is exactly the same on 99% of the multiplatform moves though, only the sound and some special features differ.Comment

For the most part, I've been buying any multi-platform movies on HD-DVD since I bought the stand alone player. Like EG says, that Java support is really cool for HD-DVD too.Comment

Re: HD-DVD or BluRay on Multiplatform Movies?
If I can get it on HD-DVD then I do, I have the A2 and by doing this I can cut down on the PS3 and hopefully extend the life of it at the same time. Since the HD-A2 is a stand alone player, I feel like it is more meant to play thesse movies and will last longer because of that, my theory could be totally wrong but thats what I go with atleast.Comment
