Electric window I suppose. If thats the case, it's probably the small motor that controls it to raise up and down. Just a guess though, it could be something as simple as the glass slipping off the little track.

As for cost, I wouldn't say awhole lot. $100+ if its the motor, if its the track you can do it yourself by removing the inside door panel.

    Good luck.

Usually when a window goes down and will not go back up, it is the power window motor. If here hearing a popping noise like the gentlemen before me posted then you have a problem with the window regulator. Depending on what kind of vehicle you have, the motor can be purchased seperate from the window regulator. Also depending on what type of car, some window motor/regulators are cable driven and can become a pain in the rear to change out one with out the other. If it is cable operated I personally would just replace the regulator and motor as an assembly. However if it is gear driven simply replace the failed part.

Now cost, be a Toyota Technician for some years and now working behind the parts counter with Toyota, are parts are NOT cheap. For JUST a motor EASILY $250(and that's cheap) for a regulator probably around $175.

Hope this helps atleast a little bit.
