Pretty good movie. Not as funny as people said (reviews etc best comedy in the last 20 years? Don't know about that one) It was a little long. They could of probably cut about 30 minutes out of it.

Overall I enjoyed it. Wouldn't mind seeing it again as sometimes you miss things.

I wanna see it today but my girlfriend doesn't exactly have that obscure sense of humor. But she did love Wedding Crashers but that wasn't too obscure.

Think it is still a good choice?

If she doesnt like this movie its time to trade her for a newer model.

          Re: Knocked Up

It's long but it has legitimate content so while they kind of dragged it out, it was ok. Nevertheless, it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. And funny because of jokes not just because of some bit or being stupid. I don't know how much sense that makes but movies like Anchorman, Wedding Crashers, Napoleon Dynamite; I really never got way people said they were so great. Sure you can go back and quote the whole movie but they were move clever versus dieing laughing, at least to me. A few parts were crude but overall it wasn't too bad. I will say during the delivery, it went somewhere that I've never seen any Hollywood movie go. I don't want to give it away but I know I am, but me my friend were like "I can't believe they just showed that."

I got a free pass to it for buying the extended version of the 40 Year Old Virgin, so I guess I may as well go see it. Looks entertaining, if nothing else.

Went with my gf and her best friend to go see it. I thought it was ehhh...nothing to write home about.

It did have it's funny moments and lines. Why was it sooooo long? 90 minutes of crude humor is plenty.

Wow... What's with all these "too long" comments. I would like to hear what you think should have been cut out because I did not find the movie to drag at all... Why is it nowadays that when a movie is over two hours long its a bad thing? Some of the best movies ever made are two hours or longer.

Godfather 1 and 2 [175 and 200 mins], Apocalypse Now [153 mins], Lawrence of Arabia [216 mins], Blade Runner [117mins]. And rather recently the Lord of The Ring Trilogy, The Departed (151 mins), Babel (143 mins), Apocalypto (139 mins) and Pan's Labyrinth (119 mins).

Knocked Up was only 129 minutes people, you mean to tell me you can't sit in a movie theater longer than an hour and half any more?

There's a difference between an large scale drama and a comedy.

And Babel? On a list with The Godfather and Lord of the Rings?

Since when did comedy become less of an art than drama? Many writers will tell you that comedy is the hardest thing to write.

I completely agree, Babel is not in the same league. The only reason I put it there was because it was hailed as one of the great movies of 06' by many people. I for one didn't even have it in my top ten, but I know others did.

I have a rule, if a movie is not atleast 2 hours long I wont go. That is usually a tell-tale sign the movie is gonna suck.

That's almost with me, too. Unless it's a horror movie.

Just got back from seeing it. It was good, but not as funny as I thought it would be. I thought "40 Year Old Virgin" and even "Blades of Glory" were funnier.
