Do you have a local drive in movie theatre?

We have one about 30 minutes from here that we frequent. I remember reading they were a little more prevalent in New England than other parts of the country, so I was curious how many OSer's have one near them, and where they are.

When I lived in Vermont there was an awesome drive-in in Colchester/Mallets Bay. It had 4 screens with 2 movies per showing, and they had no problem with you mixing and matching the movies. Even better is that most screens were visible from any spot, so with a walkman you could watch pretty much any movie from your car.

The local one only has one screen, in the past they usually paired two solid enough movies together. This year though I have no idea what they are thinking. For example this weekend and last weekend they've paired POTC with Wild Hogs. No idea why, and they paired Spiderman 3 with Ghost Rider. Usually they have more current movies for the encore performance, hopefully that improves. But at $8.50/person, it is the best deal in the area.

Don't have any that I know about here, but there is one about 15 minutes from my house in Maine.

Nope. There were 2 near my house and both were demolished years ago. The next closest one is about 45 minutes away now.

There's one around where I live but I think it might be about half an hour away. I've never been there though.

We have one 30 minutes from here as well . I've been twice, but it's been about four years ago.

There is one in Eden, NC. Eden is about halfway between Greensboro, NC and Martinsville, VA. They show mostly new movies. In the fall and spring they have double features then in the summer they have triple features. They charge $6 per person and you can bring your grill and cookout.

There's one about twenty minutes from my door. They never get a lot of business, but do attract some customers, since it's near a big flea market.

Yep, I've driven by that Midway one a ton and I need to take my g/f to a movie there soon cause it's only 5 minutes from my college house

I grew up with one about 20 minutes away from me and we have one here in Christiansburg (15 minutes away).

For those of you that have never been to a drive-in, you have no idea what you are missing. Some of my greatest movie memories are from the drive-in. Nothing better than catching a double feature with your honey at the drive-in for $5. Usually one good movie paired with a so-so movie. My (now) wife and I would usually watch the first movie and...well, you know, during the second one. Good times.
