Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Watch trailers for movies and TV shows on tv.apple.com. Browse trailers for upcoming TV series and films.

The most recent trailer is insane.

I don't care if the books are meant for little kids, or if people think it's childish.

The fourth, fifth, and sixth books have all been very good, and the fourth movie lived up to the book. This one, even if it is just a trailer and we all know that trailers are never really a good way to judge a movie, seems to be on track to live up to the fifth book, as well.

My favorite book of the series, by far, so I'm incredibly excited for the movie, not just because of this trailer, but because of everything.

I know there are at least a few people on this site who are fans, and are probably somewhere close to as excited as I am. The movies, like the books, have gotten progressively better and progressively darker and more adult, so I can't wait.

Re: Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix

I think I saw part of the last movie (maybe the entire thing, I can't really remember), but I wasn't really impressed with it. The fourth book had so much in it that I realize a movie couldn't even begin to try and keep everything in, but I just didn't feel like the movie captured the book really well. If I see this one in theatres, it will be for The Dark Knight teaser that may (or may not) be attached to the film.

You got no clue how hyped I am for OotP and Deathly Hallows. The middle of July is going to be very good for me.

Forth movie was a big dissapointment, didn't live up to the book at all in my opinion. This movie looks good, but like you said trailers arn't a good way to judge a movie.

See, the thing about the fourth movie...

There was 1000 pages to fit into two and a half hours. There is absolutely no way they could live up to the book completely, but I think looking at it knowing that they had to cut the book up and couldn't do everything...they did a damn good job keeping everything from feeling incredibly rushed.

They need to make the movies longer and/or break them up into two installments because they cut out a lot of things from the books to keep it just at 2 and a half hours. I've liked all the movies, I just wished they didn't have to cut out so much to make time.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

One of the main problems i had with the movie, is the the graveyard scene, which in the books, is probably the best scene so far in my opinion, sucked in the movie. It wasn't intense, the dialogue wasn't good, and Voldemort was in no way intimidating.

Re: Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix

Just started re-reading the series in anticipation of "Deathly Hallows".

I'm excited for the movie, but I'm sick of dropping damn near $30 when I take the family to the movies...might wait for DVD.

That being said, "Goblet" was my favorite book and movie, "Phoenix" just seemed to stretch on too long, and it will be interesting if the new movie has Grawp, the whole hospital visit with Neville, and other important plot points.

EDIT: Finally got the HD trailer to load...WOW! Who's the dude with the metal face though, never knew Harry had to deal with Dr. Doom!

                    Note:

Does a mod want to switch around the 'e' and the 'o' in Phoenix? Don't know how I messed that one up.

I think Grawp actually might be in the trailer. Upon re-watching it you see the Centaurs scramble out of the forest and a big pair of feet stomping out.

But what about Kreacher and Grimmauld Place? Those two are KEY, IMO, for what's going to happen early in "Deathly Hallows" (the R.A.B. on the Black family tree...hmmmmm).

I haven't read any of the books, but this is my most anticipated movie of the entire year. I love the movies - all of them.

Oh, and I changed your title too.
                          Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.

Yeah Grawp is in one of the trailers and Kreacher is in the movie, someone at a website I go to has a picture of him from the movie as their avatar.

Glad to see there are plenty of people here who are just as excited as me.

Skerik, really if I was you I'd read, at least, 5-6-7. The first three you don't really have to read if you've seen the movies, and the 4th book wasn't my favorite.
