Around $70 after taxes when I had an individual plan. I added the mrs. and now it's up to about $150 after taxes.

That's with 1500 text messages each.... not bad.

not being able to send picture messages ticks me off..

but other than that, i think i may pick this up.

any news on if a newer model is coming soon etc?

edit.. i just read you can, by sending it to the phone numbers email. so basically the same thing.

can another person, send a message to my cell number with att email added at the end to the iphone? would i get the picture?

You do but its kind of a pain to see the picture. AT&T sends you a text saying you have a media message and then directs you to a website where you enter a ID and password provided in the text by AT&T. If you don't have a pen and paper handy it's annoying because you obviously can't copy and paste the ID and password.

But, if you have an email account set up, you can have that person just send the photo to that email address.

Example:

Someone wants to send me a photo. I have them send it to my email address "xxxxx"@gmail.com. My iPhone then receives the email, and the photo.

so all in all, is it worth it? i mean the 8g would be enough space for me.

edit: also, i read that if u jailbreak your phone you can download something that lets you record video as well? is that true? and if i would do that, then un-jailbreak my phone, would that still work?

i have to make a choice pretty quick. reason being, i had an employee line with verizon (retailer) and well the store wont last long and i went back to my old job. so my line will not be on the employee side much longer lol..

i dont mind verizon as the prices tend to even out between them and att. i just want a phone i will be happy with. all in all verizons phone selection is not very good. seems like att has a bit more to choose from. i wouldnt mind the LG VU, a tad bigger than my dare, sammy enternity etc. i dont mind my dare, but would like something a bit bigger.

i also hate the fact that with the iphone data package it doesnt include texts, booooooooooo lol

It is called Cycorder and you need to jailbreak your phone for it. It won't work if you "un-jailbreak" it.

I was like you, on the border but I purchased mine in late December and haven't looked back. Awesome phone.
